As a business owner you will be all too aware how frequently HR matters can crop up and how quickly a simple matter can develop into a major headache. When one of those headaches crops up you need an answer today – not next week! I therefore provide unlimited remote advice as standard.
I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach and provide a service that is customised to meet your circumstances, requirements and budget.
There will be times when you have a lot on your HR agenda and others when not much is happening; those peaks and troughs in priorities will be reflected in the service you receive from me.
As your HR Manager I can take over full responsibility for your entire HR function, or share it with a member of your team; it is entirely your decision. Either way I would become an integral part of your management function.

Most of my clients who use this service opt for the full package but the choice is yours. You choose the services which will enhance and benefit your business, there’s no pressure.

For your peace of mind, I offer unlimited advice when you sign up to the HR Manager Service. This means when you need advice you have the peace of mind that you can ring me without worrying about how much the bill will be.
Remote HR advice can be provided by phone, email, text or social media messaging. So, I am here for you to use just when you need me. If something that is happening in your business is starting to worry you, having a quick text or social media message with me will help you sleep at night and then we can have a longer discussion the following day.
I will provide straight-forward answers to your HR questions, no matter how routine they might be. Whether you want to check the steps you need to follow when investigating a potential case of gross misconduct, discuss an employee with an unsatisfactory absence record or double check statutory entitlements such as holiday or maternity, I will guide you through the correct process and protect you from costly employment tribunal claims.
I follow up every conversation with a written summary of the key points of the discussion with the step-by-step advice I provided. I will attach any template letters, forms, meeting scripts or other documents you may need to implement the advice I have provided.
Additional Services
On-site Support
Practical, hands-on assistance at your premises when you need it. This can be to support you through a disciplinary hearing, attend a management meeting to discuss an issue and plan for the future or develop the HR hat wearer within your business.
How you use the on-site hours is up to you; you might prefer a regular pattern of visits so I become an integral part of your management team or you might reserve them for when something complex or unexpected happens.
Legal Compliance
Having legally compliant HR Policies and Contracts of Employment is vital to reduce risks in your business. I won’t force a set of pre-written HR Policies and Contracts of Employment on you, what I will do is review, update and maintain your existing employee handbook and ensure your suite of employment contracts protect your business. I will develop, implement and maintain a consistent approach to your HR related policies and procedures which will be based on employment legislation, best practice techniques and your HR practices. They will also support your business goals and objectives and increase employee engagement and retention.
HR Management Information System
Kea HR have partnered with Breathe HR so we can help you streamline your HR processes and manage your employee admin in a more efficient way for better business performance. The Core HR software is a powerful solution for managing HR administrative tasks including holidays; absence; performance and training. Reports can be produced relating to: stae.g.rs, leavers, turnover, sickness absence, other absences, ethnic monitoring etc. Using the software helps you comply with GDPR by ensuring information hold about your employees is correctly and regularly updated. Additional modules include: e-learning, rotas, time and attendance and expenses.
HR Administration
I will provide a HR admin service to you and your line managers. I will issue offer letters and employment contracts and follow up on references for all new employees. For existing employees, I will prepare letters to confirm changes to terms and conditions and time off work such as periods of maternity leave and responding to flexible working requests. When employees are leaving, I will prepare letters to confirm you are accepting their resignation and will respond to requests for references from the new employer.
E-Learning (New for May 2025)
The E-Learning platform will enable you to equip your employees with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their roles. If you use the HR Software the two progammes will work seamlessly together so you can allocate courses to employees, monitor their progress and remind them if they haven’t completed a course.
You can upload your induction documents to the system and create your own induction course; giving new starters the knowledge and skills they need to accelerate their integration and hit the ground running from day one.
Where you have compulsory training requirements, such as food hygiene if you are in the hospitality trade, you can create a tailored programme to suit compliance requirements, and maintain training records with ease.
Employee Assistance Programme (New for May 2025)
An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a confidential employee benefit that provides short-term support and resources to address personal and work-related issues that may impact an employee’s well-being and job performance. They primarily offer counselling or support to address immediate issues and guidance for navigating challenging situations that employees are facing. Where longer-term support is required, the employee will be connected with an appropriate specialist.
I have partnered with an EAP provider that offers a range of services, including counselling, health information and legal and financial advice.
Employees who use the service benefit from a healthier and more balanced work-life for employees. Addressing issues that may contribute to employee absence can also lead to increased productivity and reduced healthcare costs. Addressing issues that may be impacting job performance can contribute to increased productivity and better work outcomes.
