Conservative Party Manifesto on Employment Law
The Conservative Party Manifesto on Employment Law has now been published for the 2024 General Election. Here are the key proposals that affect employment.
- Move responsibility for the medical certificate system from GPs to other healthcare professionals;
- Continue with the implementation of minimum service level agreements during periods of industrial actions;
- Cut Employees National Insurance to 6% from 2027; and
- Abolish National Insurance for the self-employes by the end of the next parliament.
